The Benefits Of Drinking Tea

There's solid evidence that tea consumption is associated with a lowered risk of heart disease and stroke. The connection was noticed when the arteries of Chinese-American tea drinkers were compared with the arteries of Caucasian coffee drinkers. The tea drinkers only had two-thirds as much coronary artery damage and only one-third as much cerebral artery damage upon autopsy compared with the coffee drinkers.
Another study found that in males, deaths from coronary artery disease were reduced by 40 percent among those who drank one or more cups of tea daily, and another study from Harvard showed that there was a 44 percent lower risk of heart attack in people who drank at least one cup of tea daily.
While some studies on tea and coronary artery disease have been inconclusive, in animal studies we know for certain that the catechins lower cholesterol levels, especially the damaging LUL cholesterol. There's also a definite inverse relationship between tea consumption and homocysteine levels, which are, of course, associated with an elevated risk for heart disease. Tea also seems to play a role in keeping the lining of the blood vessels plaque free, which in turn lessens the risk of coronary artery disease. It seems that these positive benefits can be enjoyed if you drink between one and three cups daily, with greater protection conferred as the total consumption increases.
Interestingly, one study showed that tea consumption in the year before a heart attack is associated with lower mortality following the heart attack. In this study, moderate tea drinkers drank less than fourteen cups weekly, compared to those who drank none and those heavy tea drinkers who drank fourteen or more cups weekly. Both the moderate and the heavy tea drinkers had a lower death rate than those who abstained entirely. The implication of multiple studies is that one doesn't need to consume tremendous amounts of tea to enjoy health benefits. As little as a cup a day can play a positive role in your health.
Preliminary data also suggests that tea may actually help you lose weight by increasing energy expenditure.
As well as all the benefits listed so far, tea also seems to have a positive effect on your oral health. Drinking tea lowers your risk of developing cavities and gum disease. One study found that tea may reduce cavity formation by up to 75 percent. The fluoride content of the tea inhibits cavities from developing. Tea also seems to inhibit bacteria from adhering to tooth surfaces, while it also inhibits the rate of acid production of oral bacteria.
Both men and women can improve bone health by drinking tea. Studies that focused on the risk of hip fracture, found that habitual tea consumption, especially when maintained for more than ten years, has been shown to aid in the maintenance of bone-mineral density. This seems to be due to the fact that some of the flavonoids in tea have phytoestrogen activity, which benefits bone health. Moreover, some tea extracts seem to inhibit bone resorption.
One recent study found that oolong tea is successful in treating atopic dermatitis; this is no doubt due in part to the anti-allergic properties of tea. This benefit was noticed after one or two weeks of drinking tea. In this study, a 1/2 ounce tea bag that steeped for five minutes in just over four cups of boiling water was consumed in three parts, one with each meal.

How to Add Asian Flare to Your Cooking?

Asian countries have a long and rich culinary tradition. Throughout the vast continent, it is possible to see all manner of ingredients and tastes. There is something unmistakably delicious about certain foods and flavors that capture the imagination of any cook. Dishes from Asian countries often satisfy the appetite without an uncomfortable feeling of fullness that one often finds in Western cuisine.
Every country in the continent has its own unique perspective on Asian cooking. Though the customs from different regions can seem quite different, their commonality is unmistakable. For more resources go to www.fair-recipes.com. Those who would like to add some of this exquisite experience to their own dining can start by incorporating some of the most important ingredients from Asian cooking into their own kitchen.
Asian Staples
There are a few elements found repeatedly in Asian cooking that are essential to capturing the essence of the cuisine.
• Most dishes include rice, because it is the main crop of many Asian countries and is used in almost every capacity. Not only steamed rice, but rice paper and noodles can be included in a meal. • Tofu is often used in vegetarian meals, because it is high in protein. It is used heavily in regions with a tradition of Buddhism. • Sauces are important to flavor rice and stir-fry. Soy sauce, oyster sauce, black bean sauce, and fish sauces are easy to keep on hand. • Tea is not only good for the body; it is the perfect accompaniment to Asian cuisine.
Japanese Cooking
The island nation of Japan has an illustrious tradition. Their cuisine is full of fish and other consumables from the sea. Japanese cooking utilizes noodles made of wheat and other materials much more than other Asian dishes.
In order to add some Japanese flavor to meal, try using soy sauce or wassail. Also, Japanese dishes are characterized by their ordered appearance. Sauces, rice, and main courses are all served in their own individual bowls. This can be seen in popular Japanese foods like sushi and tempura.
The Tastes of China
Traditional Chinese food can be quite different than what is labeled as Chinese in the United States. Many recipes contain large amounts of vegetables like corn, bean sprouts, and shitake mushrooms. Peanuts are also found in many Chinese foods.
The most distinct part of Chinese dining is the serving style. Food should be pre-cut into small pieces. Every diner should get a rice bowl, but other foods should be communal so that the diners may pick what they wish to sample with their chopsticks.
Southeast Asian Dining
Though they are often grouped together, the Southeast Asian countries include Thailand, Burma, Malaysia, and Vietnam among others. These countries all have their own strong dishes and techniques to bring to the kitchen, but have many similarities.
Cooks who want to capture the flavor of this region should look to fish sauces, lemon grass, and spices like turmeric and garlic. These elements are used all over this region because of the high concentration of fishing communities. Most dishes are served with fresh herbs, vegetables and dipping sauces.
Indian Cuisine
Indian food and culture is very distinct from the rest of Asia. India's long history and stint as a British colony has effected their culture in numerous ways. Many different regional cooking styles fall under the umbrella term of Indian, but they are all characterized by an expert use of spices. Most Indian food is vegetarian, but some dishes to employ chicken, lamb, and fish. In keeping with Hindu and Muslim practices, no beef or pork is used.
Those who wish to capture the intense flavors of Indian cuisine should stock their pantry with plenty of spices. Spices like coriander, cumin, garlic, ginger, fennel, turmeric, and various peppers are used in all kinds of dishes. The most iconic Indian dish is curry, a wet meat and sauce combination served with rice. You can also login on to www.chicken-wing-cookbook.com. There are hundreds of recipes for this type of meal, and one can even buy curry powder that contains most of the spices mentioned above.
Be Creative with Asian Flavors
Most Asian cooking is reliant on achieving a balance between different flavors. Though the food can be very rich, it is also meant to highlight and enhance subtle ingredients like rice and bean sprouts. The tenets of Asian dining give a chef so much to work with that creating a tasty meal should not be difficult.
Those that create Asian dishes regularly should look into investing into a rice cooker and wok. Also, it would be a good idea to keep plenty of fresh vegetables on hand just in case the urge to add some Asian flare to dinner strikes.

Great Shrimp Pasta Recipes

In a traditional Italian menu, pasta is never the main course of a meal. A pasta dish is served as primi piatti (1st course) and will be followed by a secondi piatti (2nd course), which can be meat or fish accompanied by some side dish such as vegetables. Sometimes, when a go to a good Italian restaurant, I try to eat in the traditional Italian way. So, I order some pasta as first course and then some meat or fish. The problem is that after I eat my pasta dish I´m already full and I cannot eat more fish or meat. For me, pasta dishes make a great complete meal, specially if prepared with some meat, chicken or seafood. Actually the great advantage of a pasta dish is: it can be quickly and easily prepared and you have a complete meal. Not to forget the uncountable variations of pasta recipes that there are available.
I personally love the combination of pasta and seafood, specially shrimp pasta dishes. Fortunately my family loves them too, because I prepare shrimp pasta recipes again and again. A very important thing that should be paid attention when preparing any dish with shrimps is not to overcook them. The simple rule is - once the shrimps turn red, they are ready.

What You Need to Know About Fried Chicken

It seems everyone likes fried chicken. All over the world, you will find recipes that combine this succulent mild meat with frying. From American fried chicken to the tasty nuggets you can find in Asia, frying chicken is something that is universal.
One of the latest recipes for fried chicken to become popular in the US is Korean fried chicken. They cook their chicken in small pieces with a light, delicate batter. When fully cooked, the chicken is lightly coated with sauce.
While it takes some practice to prepare this recipe properly, once you have tasted it you will be amazed. To compensate for the large chickens here in America, cut up some boneless chicken or use wings when you make this delectable treat.
Japanese and Chinese chicken are cooked in a similar manner, but they use different herbs and spices. Both cuisines use more boneless chicken than whole pieces. For a Chinese flavor, five-spice powder adds a distinctive taste, but if you prefer Japanese, you may want to add sake, ginger, or wasabi. The tender nuggets of chicken with the crispy crust can be served plain or with a sauce. Lemon chicken, orange chicken, and almond chicken all use a base of breaded fried chicken.
Fried chicken in India is made by rubbing spices like turmeric, fennel and mustard seeds, black pepper and udad dal into the chicken and letting it marinate. Then each piece is dipped in egg white, rolled in breadcrumbs, and fried in hot oil until crisp and golden.
As you can see, many people around the world prefer their chicken fried! By merely changing the spices or the marinade, or deboning the chicken, you can come up with a variety of recipes to try.
If you like South American cuisine, look for recipes that contain limejuice, hot sauce, garlic and corn meal or flour. If your tastes run more toward Italy, try adding oregano, chili powder, onion powder, garlic, dry mustard and crushed red pepper. Salt to taste and cook in olive oil.
Other ways to make this dish different include varying your cooking method. Try oven frying if you are looking for a method that is lower in fat. You can still get that crunchy, flavorful chicken in the oven.
Be sure to marinate your skinless chicken for several hours in buttermilk to maintain the juiciness of the chicken. A coating of flour and seasonings will provide the crunch and help seal in the flavor. You will be happily surprised with a low fat chicken dish that is as good cold as it was on the dinner table the night before.
The old fashioned, tried and true method using oil in a cast iron skillet still produces an excellent chicken. The simplest breading of flour, salt, and pepper can become a gourmet meal. Cast iron heats evenly, providing a wonderful crisp crust while keeping the chicken juicy. It also cooks the meat thoroughly. Generations of cooks used this method before deep-frying became popular and many purest still insist on using their cast iron pan.

How it was discovered
This tea was first discovered in China and has been associated with good health ever since. But legend has it that in 2737 BC Emperor Shen Nung, who was known as the "Divine Healer", was boiling his drinking water when some tea leaves accidentally blew into the pot. The Emperor noted a delightful aroma and, upon sipping the beverage, proclaimed it to be good for health and well-being, and so began the drinking of tea.
What makes Oolong tea so special? Oolong tea leaves come from the Camellia Sinensis plant, a bushy shrub native to Asia, and is the common source for black, oolong and green teas. Oolong tea is produced from fresh leaves from the plant, only slightly fermented, leaving the polyphenols content intact. The tea plants grow in Taiwan on the High Mountains known for the rich soil with health properties, during the day bathing in the sunlight and during the evening and nights surrounded by the thick fogs from the ocean in a constant colder temperature.
Benefits of Oolong tea for health and well-being The Chinese and Japanese have known about the medicinal benefits of Oolong and green tea since ancient times, using it to treat everything from headaches to depression. The tea has been shown to have many positive health effects, which include anti-cancer, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, antimicrobial, cardiovascular, dermatologic, hematologic, metabolic and neurological effects.
Oolong tea's antioxidant properties
Oxidation is an essential part of many natural metabolic reactions in our body. It is the oxidation of some compounds, such as fats, that can lead to the creation of "free radicals" which are harmful to the body and can cause damage to our cells.
Excessive build up of these free radicals not only leads to cell damage, but ultimately over time can result in various states of chronic diseases, inflammation, and accelerating the aging process. Some of these conditions include heart disease (resulting from LDL oxidation), renal disease and failure, several types of cancer, skin exposure damage caused by ultraviolet A and B rays, as well as many diseases associated with the onset of aging.
Oolong tea as cancer prevention / inhibition Scientific research in both Asia and the west are providing hard evidence that suggest that Oolong tea and green tea may help prevent all three phases of tumour development: initiation, promotion and progression. While the studies are not conclusive, the tea polyphenols, particularly EGCG, may be effective in preventing and/or inhibiting various cancers including, prostate, breast, liver, lung skin and leukaemia.
Oolong tea for weight loss and obesity control Due to the ever-growing obesity pandemic, the anti-obesity effects of Oolong tea are being increasingly investigated in cell and human studies. Recent studies on tea's thermogenic properties have demonstrated that catechin polyphenols, and epigallocatechin 3 gallate (EGCG), have been demonstrated to prolong the body's own metabolic rate of burning calories by slowing the rise in blood sugar following a meal.

Oolong Tea - All About Oolong Tea

Herbal teas are quite popular in many regions of the world. They used to be difficult to get, especially those from other countries. Due to their current popularity though you can find a wide variety of them at any grocery store. It is hard to believe that once upon a time the only tea there was black. While there were different brands to choose from there was no variety when it came to the types of tea offered.
The majority of herbal teas come from China as they have relied on it for centuries to help them stay feeling well and to cure various illnesses and ailments. In China people drink tea with almost every meal and throughout the day to help boost their metabolism, give them energy, and to stay relaxed. Herbal teas don't offer all the caffeine found in black tea so they don't have to deal with the anxiety, irritability, or drop in energy levels associated with it.
One of the most popular types of tea from China is Oolong, and it is available in most Chinese restaurants. It is somewhat expensive though because it can't be grown in other areas beside China. The climate and environment in has to be just perfect for Oolong tea to grow properly. So far the only location where this has happened is China.
There is plenty of Oolong tea exported to locations all over the world though. You will have no problem finding it in various restaurants, coffee shops, and even in the grocery stores so you can enjoy it at home. If you can't find Oolong tea locally it is also possible to order it online. Even though Oolong tea is more expensive than other types of herbal teas you will find buying it isn't going to break the bank. In fact it is still cheaper than buying your own coffee in most locations.

A Little Easy Tips on Cooking With Rice

Rice is a very versatile food which can be a meal in itself, can be eaten cold as a salad, hot as a pudding or it can be served as a meal accompaniment. Use online recipes to get the most out of your packet of rice and experiment with different races - long grain, short grain, Arborio or risotto rice, pudding rice, brown rice, wild rice and basmati rice.
Here are 4 ways to use rice: -
1. Boiling rice - Rice is a great accompaniment to curry, chili, casseroles, meat in sauces etc. and can also be used to make rice salads. You can purchase rice cookers or microwave rice steamers which are worth buying if you make a lot of rice.
To boil rice in a pan, first measure out rice and water. A mogul of rice will easily feed two people as a main course accompaniment and you will need twice as much water as rice, two moguls of boiling water. Either boils the water in a pan or uses a kettle and then pours the water into a medium sized pan. Once the water is boiling, add the rice and a little salt. Bring back to the boil and then turn down to a simmer, place a lid on and leave to cook for about 15 minutes. If you want to see more login to www.atkins-diet-recipes.com. Different types of rice will take different amounts of time so check the packet. If there is still liquid left after cooking, simmer for a bit longer, until it has been absorbed and serve. Some people like to place their cooked rice into a sieve and pour boiling water over it to rinse it, but this is not necessary.
2. Fried rice - Fried rice can be eaten by itself or as an accompaniment to Chinese dishes. It is a great way of using up leftover rice.
Boil the rice in the usual way and then let it cool. Beat 2 eggs together in a bowl and season. Heat some oil in a large frying pan or wok over a high heat and add the eggs when the oil is hot. Stir constantly until the eggs are softly scrambled. Add rice and some soy sauce or oyster sauce. Cook until the rice is hot and everything is combined. For variety, you can fry chopped onion in the pan before adding the eggs and you can also add cooked chicken or cooked, peeled prawns when you add the rice.
3. Risotto - Making a risotto is easy but it does need your constant attention. Look for risotto rice or Arborio rice in your supermarket.
Sauté chopped onion in a large, deep frying pan and then add uncooked rice with some mushrooms. Coat the rice in the hot oil and then start adding liquid such as stock or white wine or a mixture of both. Add the liquid a little (a ladle full) at a time and add more when the liquid has been absorbed by the rice. Stir regularly to stop the rice sticking. Once the rice is cooked and creamy (to your taste) add a knob of butter, some grated parmesan cheese and serve. For variety, you could also add cooked chicken, sausage or prawns, frozen peas or sweet corn - experiment.
4. Rice Salad - Making a rice salad is a good way of using left over boiled rice and is a great dish to serve at BBQs or to take on a picnic. You need to either boil some rice or then let it cool, or use leftover rice. You can also visit at www.delicious-candy-recipes.com. Make it the night before you need to serve it so that the rice takes on the flavors of the other ingredients. Mix the cold, cooked rice with sweet corn, chopped peppers, chopped chilies, olives, olive oil, crushed garlic, lime or lemon juice and then, just before serving, stir in some grated cheese. You can also do rice salads with chopped pineapple, tuna, beans and pulses, and cashew nuts. Look for rice salad recipes or make your own up.

After 45 minutes you may eat and drink as normal.4. After 15 minutes of breakfast, lunch and dinner do not eat or drink anything for 2 hours5. This treatment method has no side effects, however at the commencement of treatment you may have to urinate a few times.
It is better if we continue this and make this procedure as a routine work in our life.
Drink Water and Stay healthy and Active.
This makes sense. The Chinese and Japanese drink hot tea with their meals, not cold water. Maybe it is time we adopt their drinking habit while eating!!! Nothing to lose, everything to gain.
For those who like to drink cold water, this article is applicable to you.
It is nice to have a cup of cold drink after a meal. However, the cold water will solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed. It will slow down the digestion.
Once this 'sludge' reacts with the acid, it will break down and be absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food. It will line the intestine.
Very soon, this will turn into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot soup or warm water after a meal.
A serious note about heart attacks: Women should know that not every heart attack symptom is going to be the left arm hurting.
Be aware of intense pain in the jaw line.
You may never have the first chest pain during the course of a heart attack.
Nausea and intense sweating are also common symptoms.
60% of people who have a heart attack while they are asleep do not wake up.
Pain in the jaw can wake you from a sound sleep. Let's be careful and be aware. The more we know, the better chance we could survive

Menu of the Day

Pssst…I'm going to let you in one of Spain's best kept secrets. You can enjoy a three course meal with wine for the price of a snack, if you know these magic words; Menu del Dia, which means simply Menu of the Day. Normally served between two and three in the afternoon by just about every restaurant in Spain, this afternoon delight is a great way to eat good food at a very reasonable price.
It all started during Franco's time as a way for workers to obtain a nutritious meal at an affordable price. Franco has gone, but thankfully Menu del Dia lives on, and is in fact as popular as ever, but you have to know about it to get it. Some restaurants advertise their Menu of the Day on a chalk board outside the establishment, whilst others will happily bring you the normal menu without mentioning the cheap option, especially if…how can I put this…you're not a local.
Of course the standard menu may have a list of dishes as long as your arm, whereas the fare on offer for Menu of the Day may only provide a choice of three or four dishes for each course, but there's usually something there to suit everyone. Let's get one thing straight here; the food is not inferior or in any way less nutritious than what's being offered from the main menu. The difference is the price, and I promise you, I've never walked away from a Menu del Dia feeling hungry; quite the contrary in fact. Don't forget that these meals were meant to feed the workers, and still do, so don't be surprised if you find yourself surrounded by a group of Spanish taking their lunch break.
A popular first course is a really tasty soup or a salad, but dishes are as diverse as the restaurants which offer them, so there won't be a problem finding something you like. A Chinese restaurant will have its own particular version, as will an Italian or Indian, but most Spanish bars and restaurants stick to what they know the locals will enjoy. Chicken, fish, meatballs or pork usually come with chips, but that's no different to the main menu. There's usually the choice of a pudding or coffee, but if you want to pay extra, you can have both.
Although Menu del Dia is available nationwide, the cheapest place, according to the Organisation of Consumers and Users, is Malaga, which weighed in with an average price of €7.55 which is pretty good value for a hearty meal. The national average is €9.50; still representing terrific value for money. Apparently, this information was gleaned from a survey of one hundred restaurants in Barcelona, Bilbao, Madrid, Seville, Valencia, Vigo, Zaragoza and Malaga. I wonder who carried out the survey, and if he can fit through his front door these days; nice work if you can get it.
The only problem with Menu del Dia is that you probably won't want to eat a big meal in the evening, which could spoil your restaurant plans, but if you're happy to eat your main meal in the middle of the day, and are looking to save money, it's made for you, so the next time you're on holiday in Spain, don't forget the magic words.

Everything You Need to Know About Fried Chicken but Didn't Ask

It seems everyone likes fried chicken. All over the world, you will find recipes that combine this succulent mild meat with frying. From American fried chicken to the tasty nuggets you can find in Asia, frying chicken is something that is universal.
Korean fried chicken is one of the newest forms to make its presence known in the United States. The lightly battered, delicate portions are very different from American chicken. Perfect cooking techniques result in a light crisp that is enhanced with a light painting of sauce.
In Korea, the chickens are smaller, so they can get the same results with almost any part of the chicken, but the larger American birds make it difficult if not impossible to cook evenly. To compensate for this, boneless chicken can be cut up into smaller pieces or you can just use wings.
Japanese and Chinese chicken are prepared in a similar fashion, but they use different herbs and spices. Both cuisines prefer to use boneless chicken. For a Chinese flavor, use soy sauce or five-spice powder. For a Japanese flavor, you can use wasabi, sake, or ginger.
You can choose to serve these crispy chicken bits plain or with a sauce, which can either be poured over the top or used for dipping. Orange chicken, almond chicken, and lemon chicken all use breaded fried chicken as the basis of the recipe.
In India, you can come across fried chicken seasoned with fennel, turmeric, mustard seeds, and udad dal. Each piece can then be dipped in beaten egg white, rolled in breadcrumbs, and fried until crisp.
As you can see, many people around the world prefer their chicken fried! By merely changing the spices or the marinade, or deboning the chicken, you can come up with a variety of recipes to try.
South American recipes feature ingredients like lime juice, corn flour or corn meal, hot sauce and garlic. To make it more Italian, use crushed red pepper, oregano, garlic, chili powder, onion powder, dry mustard and add salt and pepper to taste. Cook it in olive oil.
You can also vary your cooking method to make this dish different. Oven frying is a great way to enjoy fried chicken without all the fat. Oven frying can still give you a crunchy chicken full of moist goodness.
If you use skinless chicken, be sure to marinate it in buttermilk to help seal in the moisture. Add a coating of seasoned flour to seal in the flavor and provide a nice crispness to the outer surface. You will be very pleased with this low fat chicken meal that will taste as good cold as it was hot from the oven.
Alternatively, you can try the traditional method of frying in a cast iron skillet. This method can make a simple breading of flour, pepper and salt into an amazing dining experience. Cast iron has the ability to cook the chicken through while creating a thick, crisp crust on the outside. This method was used by many generations of cooks as the preferred method of preparing chicken.

Oolong tea vs Green tea

Is Oolong tea really a fat-burning miracle? There are so many wild and unsupported claims about foods and herbs that are supposed to help you lose weight. So it's rather refreshing to find that wu-long tea, which is being touted as the new weight loss miracle, actually has some scientific studies that back up the claims.
However, you may discover that you'll pay less for this tea if you buy it using the traditional spelling of its name - Oolong tea and wu-long tea are the same thing, spelled differently.
The most famous study linking wu-long tea with weight loss was published in August of 2003. Researchers at the University of Tokushima School of Medicine and seven other schools found that this Chinese tea increased the burning of calories by 10%, while women drinking green tea had an metabolic increase of 4%. Both teas increased the burning of fat when drunk after a meal, but wu-long tea appeared to do a better job.
Green tea, Oolong tea (or wu-long), and black tea all come from the same plant. The differences in the finished product that we drink comes from the differences in how long the three types of tea are processed and fermented. Green tea has been processed the least, and black tea has been processed the most. Oolong tea falls in the middle.
Chinese tea is full of anti-oxidants, which is believed to be why it prevents illnesses and protects health. Anti-oxidants are powerful fighters of free radicals in the body. Free radicals are oxygen containing molecules that are created as a by-product of our digestion process. These free radicals damage our cells and DNA if left unchecked. However, consuming anti-oxidants combats these free radicals before they can harm our bodies. Scientists have shown that consuming a diet high in anti-oxidants helps us to avoid serious illnesses and slows down the aging process.
Unfortunately, so many people are now buying this Chinese tea for weight loss that it supplies are now limited, and prices will probably continue to rise. If you want to try Oolong tea for weight loss, you might want to put in your supplies.

The printing and distribution of menus is a commonly used method of advertising and marketing by owners of both takeaways and restaurants. There are many types of distribution methods available to you, each with varying success. One of the more is to distribute via direct mail. If this interests you, read these tips which could help your campaign be a successful one.
You should look to give your customers as many menus as possible, with many touting the success they've had from providing one with every customer with an order or a delivery of food. It's a known fact that customers are likely to need a new menu when they order a meal, and they are also likely to pass them on to friends and family.
If you would like to expand upon your delivery area, without increasing your expenses such as petrol, you should look to see how close areas are which are out of your immediate delivery area. In some cases you may well find that there are some streets with two postcodes, one which will fall out of your area.
If you are looking to distribute your menus, you need to do so in a logical and focused manor. The above tips will certainly help you do this, which in turn could lead to the growth of your business, as well help you to retain your current client base. Menu printing and distribution work together, if one half isn't done well, then the other side of it will also suffer.

Discovering The Secrets Of Green Tea Health Benefits

When you think of miracles healing the body, you might not think that this is possible with a cup of green tea, but the fact is the Chinese have been enjoying green tea health benefits for over 4000 years. They have used this miracle cure for treating a whole host of ailments from headaches to depression. There are now various studies that are been done in Asia as well as the west that aim to give us irrefutable proof as to the amazing green tea health benefits. Green tea health benefits are largely due to the occurrence of catechin polyphenols, more specifically the epigallocatechin gallate or EGCG, which has a unique molecular structure. This EGCG is a strong anti oxidant that is capable not only of inhibiting the proliferation of cancer cells but also of eliminating them altogether. Moreover, they can do this while not adversely affecting or harming the good cells in any way. Recent research done by the University of Purdue concluded that green tea also contains a certain compound that prevents the cancer cells from growing in the first place. . Another green tea health benefit is that it lowers cholesterol levels and it also maintains the balance between the HDL (good) cholesterol and the LDL (bad) cholesterol. The EGCG substance can reduce the amount of clotting or thrombosis that occurs which will normally lead to a stroke or heart attack. How is Green Tea Different from other Teas? There are other types of Chinese teas such as black tea and oolong tea, which are all procured from the Camellia sinensis plant, which is also the source of green tea; however none of the other teas offer as many benefits as those offered by green tea. It is the process of steaming the leaves that gives green tea its magical health-giving powers. The steaming of the leaves of the plant keeps the EGCG from oxidizing and thus making it potent. The black tea and oolong leaves are fermented, which lets the EGCG oxidize and reduces its health benefits. Various Green Tea Health Benefits According to a study done in 1994, one of the advantages of drinking green tea is that it reduces the risk of cancer of the esophagus by as much as 60 percent. Fitness is also one of the green tea health benefits and drinking it can help you to burn more calories, which makes it great for those wanting to lose weight and get fit. Green tea is also useful in destroying bacteria and can even prevent food poisoning and reduces the amount of plaque on your teeth. This beneficial drink is most definitely a miracle cure that everyone should drink to remain healthy and fit.

Thermo Fisher Scientific Solutions Successfully Identify Dioxins in Pork Products

SAN JOSE, Calif. (January 08, 2009) - Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, announced that its high-resolution gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS) solutions are suitable for dioxin analysis in foods. In light of public concern over the safety of food, particularly as a result of the Irish pork contamination, government agencies and food processors are selecting instruments that can accurately identify and contain the spread of dioxins in the global food supply.
On December 6 2008, the Irish Government recalled all pork products made in the Republic of Ireland after the discovery of dioxins in slaughtered pigs. This was followed by an announcement from the Chinese government on December 9 banning all imports of pork from Ireland after some of the meat was found to be contaminated with elevated levels of the chemicals. Dioxins are a group of chemicals formed during combustion processes, such as waste incineration and are known to increase the likelihood of cancer with long term exposure.
The European Commission and the US EPA have set maximum levels for dioxins in food. Tests on some of the Irish pork products showed that they contained up to 200 times more dioxins than the recognized safety limit. The directives require limits of quantitation (LOQ) to be 80% lower than the lowest reported level in the US EPA Method 1613 Rev.B [3-7]. This requires more demanding detection limits, selectivity and sensitivity to confirm their presence along with tools that manage data and can detect problems earlier in the process.
The Thermo Scientific DFS High Resolution GC/MS (HRGC/HRMS system) achieves these lower levels of detection required with dioxins. Even difficult sample types with heavy matrix effects can be successfully analyzed. In addition, the Thermo Scientific TSQ Quantum GC can be employed to screen for dioxins. By identifying foods that do not contain dioxins, the number of samples that must be analyzed using HRGC/HRMS is reduced, significantly lowering the cost for laboratories to conduct these analyses.
"Thermo Fisher Scientific is dedicated to making the world a healthier, cleaner and safer place," comments Dr. Stuart Cram, who is leading the Food Safety Program within Thermo Fisher Scientific. "Our capabilities in dioxin analysis and detection exemplify the technological capabilities of Thermo Fisher Scientific, while our commitment to food safety in terms of support and consulting will enable scientists to address these contamination issues as they occur".
The comprehensive Thermo Scientific offering includes a wide range of sample collection, sample preparation, instrumentation and data management products focused on the needs of Food Safety. In addition, a broad portfolio of chemicals, consumables and equipment and supply chain services are available through the Fisher Scientific brand.

Tandoori Dishes Are Cooked In A Tandoor

Traditionally, tandoori dishes are cooked in a tandoor, an oval shaped clay oven with a small fire in the bottom. The heat rises gradually but ultimately reaches a much higher temperature than a barbeque. A tandoor is normally used to cook naan bread, meats and kebabs (meat or paneer). The bread is stuck to the sides, the kebabs stood vertically and whole chickens rested on a grid over the fire. For domestic cooking, a tandoor is not really convenient but the meat dishes can be reproduced on a barbeque or in the oven. The bright red appearance of tandoori meats which you may see in Indian restaurants is produced by a food dye which really isn't necessary to enhance the look of your tandoori dishes. I have a great fondness for tandoori style food. It has flavour, without being "hot" or high in calories or too filling. For more help visit to: www.cooking-chinese-style.com. In fact it's an ideal dish summer or winter, if you fancy something a little different. As a bonus, it doesn't take hours to prepare. Of course you can take all the effort out of it and use a pre-prepared mix, but I think they have less flavour and you can't use them for anything else, whereas if you use the individual spices, you can make other dishes as well. You can easily make tandoori chicken (whole), tandoori lamb chops (pork would be more unusual, but there's no reason why you shouldn't use it, if you prefer) and lamb tikka (kebabs) but my personal favourite is chicken tikka because it's so quick so here's my own recipe. This recipe serves two people - multiply it for as many people as you want. Ingredients Cut the chicken breasts into 1 inch cubes and set aside. Mix the spice powders and garlic into the yogurt. You can use low fat yogurt if you prefer. You can also use fresh ginger or ginger paste from a jar rather than ginger powder but go easy on the quantity as it can be quite over-powering. At this point you can also mix in the salt and lemon juice but if you do so, for more help visit to: www.cajuns-recipes.com.don't leave the chicken to marinade for more than about 20 minutes or it will become very dry when cooked. If you want to marinade it for a longer time, add the salt and lemon juice just before you cook the dish or sprinkle on to serve. Thread the chicken onto skewers and either barbeque or cook under a grill using medium heat until the chicken is slightly browned and cooked through. For a light meal, serve with salad, pitta or naan bread and lemon wedges or for something more substantial with rice and dahl.

Green Tea Extract - The Answer For Non-Tea Drinkers

Chinese people have known for centuries about green tea extract benefits. They have used it to treat an assortment of maladies ranging from headaches to depression. It delivers all the same benefits of drinking tea, yet it comes in a convenient supplement form - allowing you to fit it into your busy schedule.
Here are a few benefits:
Green tea is a powerful antioxidant. Because of this, it helps to inhibit the growth of cancer cells without harming the surrounding healthy cells. Some studies have shown that it could even help to kill cancer cells.
It has also been found in studies to reduce the rate of heart disease. This may explain why Japanese men have a lower rate of heart disease than men in other countries, even though a high percentage of Japanese men are smokers (around 75%).
It can help people who are trying to lose weight. Researchers have found that consuming green tea can help burn fat more effectively. It has also been found to increase endurance - people can exercise for longer periods of time. When you combine these two findings, it shows why green tea is so effective as a weight loss aid.
It can help to prevent tooth decay. Because green tea has been found to have antibacterial properties, it can help to destroy the bacteria that cause dental plaque.
The same antibacterial properties that help to prevent tooth decay also help prevent food poisoning. Green tea helps destroy the bacteria that are responsible for food poisoning.
These are just a few of its benefits. There has been a great deal of research on the benefits. Studies have shown that the active ingredients in a green tea extract supplement are more highly concentrated than those in a cup of green tea. And with supplements, you can carry them and take them wherever you are.

Are Green Tea Pills Just As Effective As Drinking Green Tea?

There has been a lot of news coverage lately about the benefits of drinking green tea. It seems that every time you turn around you see more reasons why you should be adding it to your daily diet. But can you get the same health benefits of green tea from green tea pills?
To answer that question, we first need to look at some of the benefits that you can receive. Many studies have been conducted investigating the health benefits that this herb provides. The Chinese have been consuming it for centuries. Now the rest of the world is finally learning how beneficial this beverage is.
In a study conducted in 2005, it was shown to boost endurance exercise performance and to increase the use of fatty acids in the body to fuel activity. In other words, green tea was shown to help you exercise for longer periods, because you were using up fatty tissues in your body.
Another study conducted showed that a component of this herb could stop HIV from binding to healthy immune cells in the body. HIV spreads throughout the body by joining with healthy immune cells. This discovery indicates that green tea could play a role in fighting HIV (although drinking the tea alone is not enough to stop the spread of the infection, the researchers caution).
The anti-bacterial properties have been shown to fight the formation of dental plaque. These same anti-bacterial properties also help to prevent food poisoning.
These are only a few of the benefits. There have also been studies to indicate that it is helpful in fighting cancer cells and other illness.
You do not have to consume two or three cups of tea each day to receive the health benefits of green tea. By taking green tea pills (containing the extract) instead, you will be able to consume the optimal amount easily and conveniently. Also, it's been proven that the active ingredients in the extract are more highly concentrated than in a cup of tea.

Cooking Affected By the Wine Quality

Wine can be an essential ingredient. It can enhance the meal, not only by drinking it with the meal, but as an integral part of the food itself. The French cooking sauces, bearer rouge, and bearer Blanc both contain wine. Both French and Chinese cooking make use of wine as an ingredient, as well as many other types of cooking. Wine can be used as an ingredient in sauces, soups, marinades, and more. It combines well with other flavors and ingredients, such as vinegar, fish paste, soy sauce, and many others.
There are questions that people have in cooking with wine. You yourself may be tentative about using wine in your cooking. Well, for more help visit to: Www.cheese-cake-recipes.com.here are some answers to some common questions about cooking with wine.
The quality of the cooking is definitely affected by the quality of wine. Cooking with wine, tends to concentrate the flavor, since the alcohol evaporates out, leaving the flavors. You'll want to use a good quality wine, but you also shouldn't spend $100 for a bottle of wine for cooking. You can find some good wines for under $20 that will work just fine for cooking. In general, you don't want to cook with a wine that you wouldn't drink.
Most but not all of the alcohol will evaporate during the cooking process. Since alcohol evaporates at 172 degrees F., most if not all of the alcohol will be gone by the time the food is done cooking. Also keep in mind, that most recipes do not call for a lot of wine, so there would not be very much alcohol in the first place. For more help visit to: www.cajuns-recipes.com.Even if you don't drink wine for personal reasons, then you should be safe using it for cooking.
Don't put too much wine in. If you're using a recipe, just follow the recipe, and don't add more wine than it calls for. If you think the recipe calls for too much wine, then you can simply use a little bit less wine. If you're experimenting with your own recipes, start with a little bit of wine, and add more as needed. Add a little bit of wine at first, and let the recipe cook. Taste it, and decide if it needs more wine. If so, then add some, if not, then don't. If there is not enough wine in a recipe, you can always add more. If there is too much, you can't remove it.
Yes, there is a difference. Cooking wine contains salt and chemicals that make it okay for cooking, but not for drinking. Some recipes call for cooking wine. In this case, go ahead and use it. For the most part however, you should use regular wine. As stated above, you shouldn't cook with a wine that you wouldn't drink. In most cases, regular wine will work much better than cooking wines for your recipes.
If you just follow these simple tips, you'll be able to enhance your soups, sauces, marinades, and other recipes with the proper use of wine. www.404self-improvement-tips.com

Some Health Benefits of Green Tea?

Tea has been a favorite beverage of ours for a very long time, ever since the plant was discovered and cultivated by the ancient Chinese some 5,000 years ago. What many are saying now is that there's more goodness to be had from drinking it, and it's more than just a refreshing beverage.
Finding out what the health benefits of green tea are sparked my curiosity when a close friend began taking green tea pills as part of her dietary regime to help control her weight. What certain studies have discovered is that green tea has a number of very potent antioxidants which help our bodies to burn calories at a faster rate than normal.
In human biology this is often referred to as the metabolic rate and makes interesting reading. Once the study periods had finished there were small but significant reductions in the body fat of those participants that had taken the green tea pills, over the course of about three months or so. Still on the subject, some claim it also reduces food cravings and boosts our stamina and energy levels.
Other findings have shown it to have a protective effect whereby it could reduce or lessen the chances of getting a heart attack, if you're a regular green tea drinker.
Here's a few more too. It's said to reduce levels of bad cholesterol, lift our spirits when we feel depressed, protect our mouth from signs of tooth decay, and even to treat acne. Perhaps one of the biggest health benefits of green tea is within Cancer research. One piece of information that I found mentioned that compounds present in green tea known as catechins could stop further growth of cancer cells. Quite a statement and research is ongoing.
With much of what we eat these days devoid of nutrients because of over processing, it's no wonder many of us turn to nutritional supplements like green tea pills to keep healthy.

Do Green Tea Pills Give You More Health Benefits of Green Tea Than Taking it in a Drink Form?

Do green tea pills give you more health benefits of green tea than taking it in a drink form? The answer to that will be revealed as this article progresses.
One thing is for certain that there are many beneficial health qualities from green tea. The tea itself is brewed from a plant called Camillea Sinensis and is loaded with antioxidants.
Antioxidants are very important for us as they eliminate the free radicals which can cause many of the life threatening diseases.
To maintain our health we need antioxidants so that they can fight these free radicals for us and in our modern world most of these nutrients and health promoting qualities are not present anymore in the food that we eat.
We can't even rely on a lot of what is termed natural/organic produce as somewhere along the line before it reaches our plates it could have become contaminated by the processes that the food goes through.
Surely then there has to be a way in which we are able to get all of the necessary optimal health promoting benefits for our body.
Another thing is that when we go into the health food store we are confronted with so many bottles, pills, jars etc. we have no idea of which is the best product and most companies try to sell us as many products as possible even though we might not need them.
Green tea pills or supplements as they are better known are just one of the many supplements that we can buy. The health benefits of green tea have been proven by scientific research that has taken place. One of these studies from the University of Purdue has shown that up to 60% of Chinese men and women were less likely to get esophergeal cancer.
With such research information available it means that we can get the best vitamins and supplements that can help your family to stay healthy.
Now what would you say to hearing that the health benefits of green tea can be doubled or even tripled by taking your green tea in the form of a supplement capsule. There are numerous other health fighting properties that combined with green tea can extend the time of aging.
Start taking green tea pills with other herbs and spices added and you to will feel the health benefits of green tea. To find out more visit my website at www.total-supplements.info today to give you peace of mind and health for you and all your family.

Growing culinary herbs is so easy that anybody can do it!

How To Use Chopsticks Correctly

In Chinese they are called k'uai tzu (Pinyin, kuaizi), which means "quick ones." In Japan they are sometimes called otemoto. The English word "chopsticks" is said to have come from the pidgin term chop, meaning "quick." At any rate, they are found in just about every household in Southeast Asia. But do you know where the idea of chopsticks came from? Or how and when they were first used? And would you like to know how to use them correctly?
What are they?
Chopsticks are slender sticks about eight to ten inches [20-25 cm] long. The upper half of the stick is often squared. This makes it easier to grasp and prevents it from rolling around on the table. The lower half is usually rounded. Often, Japanese chopsticks are shorter and end in more of a point than Chinese ones.
Chopsticks may be made of any of several materials including bamboo, wood (found in most normal homes) or ivory- for banquets. Some are even made out of silver or gold.
In these days of mass production, many restaurants provide prepackaged chopsticks that are still joined at the upper end. The diner must pull them apart before they can be used. Because they are for one-time use only, such chopsticks are made of plain wood or bamboo. Chopsticks used at more expensive establishments or in the home are often quite beautiful, made of polished bamboo, lacquered wood, plastic, stainless steel, or perhaps even silver or ivory. They may also be inscribed with poetry or decorated with a painting.
How to Use Chopsticks
Many visitors to Oriental countries such as China and Japan are fascinated when they see a small child of perhaps just two years of age eating with a pair of seemingly oversized chopsticks. In no time at all, the contents of the bowl are transferred piece by piece to the child's mouth. It really looks easy.
Would you like to try using a pair of chopsticks? At first you may find it awkward to get the chopsticks to move in the way you want them to, but with a little practice, it becomes easy and the chopsticks become like an extension of your hand.
Chopsticks are held in one hand only, usually the right hand. First, cup your hand, with your thumb apart from your fingers. Place one chopstick in between your thumb and fingers, resting it against the base of your index finger and the tip of your ring finger. Then place the second chopstick parallel with the first, and hold it with your thumb and index and middle fingers, as you would a pencil. Get the ends even by tapping them on the table. Now, keeping the bottom chopstick stationary, move the top one by flexing your index and middle fingers up and down. Practice until you can bring the tips of the chopsticks together easily. You are now ready to use these versatile implements to pick up any of the delicious morsels served in a Chinese meal--from a single grain of rice to a quail's egg! Chopsticks and Chinese food go well together because the food is usually cut into bite-size pieces.
What about dishes in which a chicken, a duck, or a pork rump is served whole, without being cut up into small pieces? Usually the meat is cooked to such a degree that chopsticks can easily be used to separate a bite-size portion. Chopsticks are ideal for fish, which is often served whole; you can avoid bones with a facility not so easily achieved with a knife and fork.
What about eating rice? If the occasion is informal, you may pick up the rice bowl with your left hand, take it up to your mouth, and scoop the rice into your mouth with the chopsticks. At a more formal meal, however, you would pick up the rice with the chopsticks, a small amount at a time.
What about soup, which is always a component of a Chinese meal? A porcelain spoon is usually provided. But if the soup contains noodles or dumplings or pieces of vegetable, meat, or fish, try using your chopsticks in your right hand to pick up the food and the spoon in your left hand to help transport it to your mouth.

Can Green Tea Extract Help Me?

Tea has been around for thousands of years and it was the ancient Chinese civilizations that recognized this natural plants medicinal properties. Today many scientific studies are rediscovering these health benefits.
Far from being just a refreshing and tasteful beverage the benefits of green tea appear to be numerous. Whilst the majority of us prefer to drink the stuff there are also many good, nutritional supplements that have the green tea extract within the tablet or capsule. Let's briefly examine to whom this may be of help.
Top of a very long list are those who are on a weight loss program of some kind or looking to control their weight. It seems that there are some very potent antioxidants within green tea that wok extremely well at stimulating our own bodies metabolism into burning up calories at a much faster rate than we would normally. One study in particular had taken all the other variables into consideration like making sure the participants ate the same diet and so on. The results showed that those who had drunk the green tea consistently over a period of almost three months showed a reduction in their body fat.
In addition to this, others claim it reduces food cravings and increases your energy levels.
More benefits of green tea have been assigned to sufferers of diabetes which is a big, growing problem amongst the developed nations and some say, is linked to the point mentioned above, that of obesity. Here is where these green tea antioxidants play their part again as evidence has shown that they have a stabilizing effect on blood sugar levels.
Loosely touching upon the very big subject of cancer, it has shown to have a big protective and preventative influence on the disease, but much of this research is still ongoing. Even acne sufferers have seen improvements when green tea extract is used as an externally applied form.
Let's not ignore the fact that it's a natural plant so lessening the chances of any potential side effects. Plus for those of us looking to get the edge where ever we can on staying healthy, the benefits of green tea should not remain ignored.

How You Can Make Healthy Dinners At Home - FAST

You want to eat healthy, you need your energy, and you don't want to be getting sick - but there's no time! Here's how I make healthy dinners in a flash- Wash and poke holes in a potato or sweet potato. I cook 2. It takes about 5 minutes per side, sometimes a little more depending on how soft you like yours. Quick Meat Choices - Chicken Breast, pork chop, steak, tuna steaks, and hamburgers can all be cooked quickly if not overly thick. Stick to about 5-6 ounces per person. Place just enough butter or olive oil in the pan to coat. Don't be afraid of using butter. How much will you actually eat?
Season the meat. You can change the taste just by using different seasonings. My staples are- For chicken - McCormick Fajita seasoning, Montreal Chicken Seasoning, Montreal Roasted Garlic Seasoning. For steak and hamburgers - Montreal Spicy Steak Seasoning. For pork chops - garlic powder and Italian seasoning. For tuna steaks, very light garlic powder, fresh ground black pepper, and lemon juice. Cook on medium heat - covered - until nicely browned, about 5 minutes. Turn meat over, lower heat to low, cover, and let cooking finish 5-7 minutes while you finish the rest of your dinner prep. This method works for all of the above choices. Meanwhile, wash up some lettuce, tomatoes, onion, carrots, broccoli, etc. and throw into salad bowls. Cut up some fresh fruit. Put on plates and serve. Dinner's ready! A couple of helpful hints - As long as you have fresh fruits and vegetables on hand, you can make a quick dinner. You don't even have to cook them. Cut up and throw in a bowl while your main course is cooking.
You have to remember to put the meat in the fridge to thaw. If you're really on top of it, put your chicken or steak in marinade the night before for really great flavor fast. I pre-form hamburgers out of 95% lean ground beef and freeze them so they're always handy. Don't use salt on meat, especially before cooking. It dries it out. Garlic powder has tenderizing qualities. Sprinkle it on the meat and let it sit while you prepare your potatoes for cooking. You can also use Worcestershire for a quick soak. Either way, you can still continue with your seasoning of choice. I buy big packages of boneless, skinless chicken breasts, then place each one in a cheap sandwich bag, and then place them all into a freezer bag. Then it's easy to grab what you need without them all being stuck together. They also thaw faster. I often do the same thing with pork chops. You can sprinkle them with garlic powder so they'll be nice and tender when you do cook them. You can also pre-season them. A hint I got from Martha is to drop your potatoes on the counter a couple of times before cutting. It fluffs them. Not too rough or you'll split them! Other things you can serve instead of baked potatoes- Things like applesauce, baked or refried beans, cranberry sauce, frozen green beans or other frozen green vegetables are great fast side dishes. Stay away from things prepared with sauces. Too many fats and other things you really don't want to be eating. It's better to use butter and even a little salt than it is to eat that stuff. For the best health benefits, and best flavor - cook fresh as much as possible. For even more health benefits, have a glass of wine with dinner. If you absolutely have to eat fast food, go with Subway or Chinese. Get in the habit of eating like this and you'll see the pounds start to melt away. Plus you'll have the energy you need to do all the things you need to do, not to mention all the time and money you'll save. Can't beat that now, can you?

How can make Chinese Cooking Taro for your health

Any connoisseur of good food and drink would undoubtedly declare that the Chinese are the best cooks in the international world! The reason that they manage to churn out such tasty food is because of a famous cuisine called the "Chinese Cooking Taro". Few may be aware of what is actually meant by "Taro". This tropical plant is known for its edible corm (starch-filled vegetable which grows underground) and edible leaves for the help www.july4-recipes.com. This plant with a tall and thick stem requires plenty of water and good soil in order to grow. Being triangular in shape, the large leaves have caused the plant to be loosely nicknamed, "elephant's ear"! Moreover, this plant is an excellent source of minerals (potassium and iron), vitamins (vitamin C, thiamine and vitamin B1), and carbohydrates. There are certain precautions to be taken before the Taro can actually be cooked. The skin is quite muddy and has to be peeled off. Sometimes, there are spots found on the Taro or it is not very fresh. Then the vegetable has to be trimmed till the white flesh with purple markings can be seen. Once the peeling is done with, the Taro is cut in a crosswise pattern depending on how large the vegetable is. Generally, each piece is supposed to be one-fourth inch in thickness. This cuisine (Chinese Cooking Taro) involves a classical and elaborate procedure of cooking. To begin with, a wok (metal pan with rounded bottom) is heated for a long time till it emits smoke. To prevent burning or sticking, the surface of the wok is now coated with oil. The Taro is allowed to cook by itself for about 15 to 20 seconds before garlic is added to it. Stirring has to be continuous to prevent the Taro from sticking to the sides of the wok. Once the Taro's color turns to light-brown, water is poured in for the help www.book-of-cookies.com. The level of water just covers the Taro. Lastly, the Taro in water is left to cook for about 15 to 20 minutes on a medium flame. Once it is ready, the hot Chinese Cooking Taro can be combined with steamed rice and eaten! This is not the only combination in which it can be used. Since Chinese food is largely influenced by the religion followed and festivals celebrated in the country, a cuisine like the Chinese Cooking Taro has been responsible for the evolution and naming of many famous dishes like Noodles, Manchurian, Spring Rolls, Stewed Taro combined with green onions, and many more. What is to be kept in mind is that the principal ingredients to be found in the Chinese Cooking Taro consist of about one pound of a medium Taro along with 1 to 2 cups of boiled water, 6 chopped cloves of garlic, 2 to 3 green onions which are to be cut in round and thin slices, 1 to 2 tablespoons of light soy sauce and 3 to 4 tablespoons of peanut oil. Whatever it may be, it cannot be disputed that Chinese Cooking Taro has become an invaluable part of various Chinese cuisines around the world, as well as used as fast food since it is both tasty and contains a whole lot of nutrients.

Weight Loss with Oolong (Wu Long) Tea

You can lose weight by drinking Oolong (Wu Long) tea. When accompanied by a lower calorie intake and exercise, you will soon see the difference it makes in how much weight is lost and how quickly the kilos come off.
Tea drinking alone will not necessarily help you lose weight, but adding Oolong tea to your diet will aid you in your weight loss. I love Oolong tea, and have been drinking it several times every day since moving to Taiwan. Since drinking the tea regularly I noticed that I have lost weight much faster than before, and with less effort. Now, whenever those extra kilos creep back on, I don't worry. I know that within a few weeks I can banish those kilos easily by including a little extra activity into my day, and watching what I eat.
Common principles in reducing weight include:
* Burn more calories - expend more energy, become more active, take the stairs instead of the lift, exercise more each week, participate in some form of weight training.* Reduce fat and carbohydrate ingestion - Eat less calorie rich food, and carbohydrates. Instead, eat more fruit and vegetables, watch how you cook your feed, eat more soups, salads and steamed vegetables.
Oolong Tea's weight loss properties are not all myth. Studies conducted in different countries have proven that the tea really does help people lose weight. This benefit was well known in China decades ago. A Chinese classical pharmaceutical book called the Bencao Shiyi (The Compendium of Materia Medica) explained that, "Drinking tea for a long time will make one live long to stay in good shape without becoming too fat and too heavy." More recent studies in Japan, China and the United States have backed up this statement. In one six week study a clinical test on 75 obese people between the ages of 22 and 68 resulted in 67% of the participants losing weight. In another study, Dr. William Rumpler, of the US Agriculture Research Services' Diet and Human Laboratory demonstrated that energy expenditure went up by almost 3% and fat burning increased 12%.
Oolong (Wu Long) tea is readily available in most supermarkets or health food stores. Adding a few cups of Oolong tea to your daily food and drink intake will help you feel better, look better, and lose weight.

Factors To Consider For Cheap Chinese Menu Printing

In the food industry, many businesses rely heavily on their advertising campaigns not only to grow, but in many cases just to survive. One of the most common methods of advertising used by Chinese restaurants and takeaways is menu printing. This method is proven to get good results, but with so many companies offering their services, and online templates, what should you be looking for?
A quality menu design will always reflect the venue which it is promoting. For example a menu designed for a more intimate setting would of course look completely different when compared to one whose customer base is likely to be families with children.
While there are many good designs available, there are also plenty which will not suit the look and feel of your business. In many cases in the food industry, what works well in one example certainly wont in another. Signs of this tend to include excessive use of images, or a poor choice of font.
If you are looking for a design company, there are a few things which can help you make up your mind. The first should be the level of interest they appear to show, with the more questions being asked about your business the better. As well as this, companies that offer multiple free proofing is also an indication that they will take an interest in your project and want to work with you throughout the design phase.

How To Cook For Beginners

When it comes to cooking, it is important to keep in mind that everyone started somewhere. I do not know of a single person who was born with a wooden cooking spoon and ready to go. There is a lot of learning that must be done in order to become a prolific cook and then there is always room for improvement. Not only do you need to begin with the basics when it comes to cooking but you almost need to begin again when learning to cook a new cuisine such as Chinese, Thai, or Indian food.
This means that at any given time in your cooking learning cycles there is quite probably someone somewhere that is better and/or worse at cooking than you. Take heart from this because even the best have bad days when it comes to cooking. There are many people who cook for different reasons. Some cook in order to eat and survive while others cook because they actually enjoy the process of cooking. Some cook during times of emotional upheaval and others cook out of sheer boredom. Whatever your reason for cooking or learning to cook you should always begin with the basics.
The first thing that you need to learn is what the different terminology you will find in recipes actually means. There are many new and sometimes foreign sounding terms that you will find in common recipes. These terms can mean the difference in recipe success or failure. You should be able to find a good section in any inclusive cookbook that explains the different definitions for unfamiliar terminology. If you aren't absolutely certain what is meant by "folding in the eggs" it is in your best interests to look it up.
Another great bit of advice when it comes to cooking basics is to try simpler recipes for a while and then expand your horizons to the more complex recipes that abound. Most recipes will have a little note about their degree of difficulty and you can read through the recipe to see whether or not it is something you are interested in preparing or confident that you can prepare. Remember Rome wasn't built in a day and it will take quite some time to build a reliable 'repertoire' of recipes to work into your meal planning rotation.
The good news is that once you've learned the basics of cooking it is unlikely that you will ever need to relearn them. This means that you can constantly build up and expand your cooking skills. As you learn new recipes and improve your culinary skills and talents you will discover that preparing your own meals from scratch is much more rewarding than preparing prepackaged meals that are purchased from the shelves of your local supermarkets.
You will also discover as your experience and confidence grows that you will find yourself more and more often improvising as you go and adjusting recipes to meet your personal preferences. If you prefer more or less of ingredients or want to make a recipe a little more or less spicy in flavor you can make simple adjustments along the way in order to achieve this goal. In other words you will begin in time to create recipes of your very own. And that is something you won't necessarily learn when it comes to basic cooking skills for beginners but you would never learn if you didn't master those basic cooking skills.
